Veterán Porsche márkatörténet

A gyakran az autóipar géniuszaként is emlegetett Ferdinand Porsche nevéhez számos márka kötődik. A tehetséges mérnök 1931-ben hozta létre saját mérnöki irodáját, miután már komoly tapasztalatokat szerzett először az Astro-Daimlernél, majd a Steyr-nél. A cég első megbízásai a Wanderer-től, NSU-tól és a Zündapptól érkeztek, ám az igazi áttörést az Adolf Hitler által támogatót népautó, az első Volkswagen tervezése hozta, mely csak a II. világháború után került gyártásba.

Az első Porsche néven futó modell 1950-re készült el, ez volt a Volkswagen Bogár alapjait és formavilágát is „hasznosító” Porsche 356-os, melynek nevét a Le Mans futamgyőzelmekkel erősítette meg a tervező. Ferdinand Porsche 1952-ben halt meg, a céget fia Ferry Porsche vette át, aki dinamikusan bővítette a 356-os motorkínálatát és beindította a tengerentúli exportot.

A 356-os 1964-ben váltotta le a legendás Porsche 911-es, melyben az új 6 hengeres, léghűtéses Porsche-motor is debütált. A cég a 70-es évek közepén – elsőként a Volkswagen motorral szerelt Porsche 914-el – próbált meg betörni a megfizethető árú sportautók piacára, sikertelenül. Ezt követte az Audi által gyártott, szintén Volkswagen alkatrészeket tartalmazó Porsche 924-es, melyet kedvezőbben fogadott a nagyérdemű, így 1977-ben bemutatták a V8-as motorral szerelt Porsche 928-ast.
